Smoke from Sumatra and Kalimantan, and where it goes. This week replays the past seven days: real satellite fire detections, official readings where you live, and the CAMS haze model when it is available. Model run is our own simulation: pick a season and a wind and watch the smoke travel.

Whether this smoke reaches you depends on the wind. A wind from the south carries Kalimantan's smoke into Sarawak; it takes a wind from the east-southeast to carry it to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The model uses one wind for the whole map, so pick it here — the arrow on the map shows it.

Release mode starts the plume from nothing and lets the front move downwind at the wind speed. Give it 72–96 hours.
